About the Project

Why the e-module

Course lessons

The Interpreter Employment Success Program (IESP) is designed to address the growing demand for qualified interpreters across Queensland. The program is delivered by the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) in collaboration with 2M Language Services, and SSI. This project is proudly supported and funded by the Queensland Government.

The program provides comprehensive training, professional development, and networking opportunities for interpreters and those working with language service users. Our goal is to enhance the skills of new and existing interpreters, connect them with employers, and improve the quality of interpreting services across the state.
This e-module is an accessible and flexible training tailored for anyone who currently works with or wants to engage interpreters. The platform ensures that participants complete the training regardless of their location. The e-module empowers employers to improve their proficiency in various contexts, from healthcare and legal settings to social services and community support.

The e-module allows employers to enhance their proficiency in collaborating with interpreters across diverse settings, such as healthcare, legal environments, social services, and community support. Course reviews

This was a very interesting and important module - I've never thought to offer to discuss the content with the interpreter prior to the meeting so they can research/read up on things more before the meeting- I've always done the information dump right before we start. So that's something I'm taking away from this.
I found the information very easy to understand and felt like it was simple and easy to digest.
Thank you for this training, very helpful for our everyday work.
This has been really valuable and like the ability to download resources for future use. Thank you!
